Breakfast event 24

A new venue for the 2024 breakfast meeting at Ryde Indoors Bowling Club. Some 45 centre members came along for a great breakfast and to witness the presentation of a cheque to last year’s chosen charity.

We were joined by representatives from last year’s charity Home Start – Chair of the board of trustees Karen Rivlin and volunteer, trustee, and former Chair of the Board of Trustees Margret Ryland. Home Start provides support and advice to families on the Island.

The room went quiet as everyone tucked in

Centre member Steve explaining the aims of this year’s chosen charity Daisy Chains

Daisy Chains supports children with a disability, long term health needs or life limiting conditions especially those needing hospitalisation on the mainland.

The raffle raise over £100 for this year’s charity – a great start to the year

And finaly our thanks to the great staff at the Bowling Club who effortlessly prepared and served full cooked breakfasts for us all.
