The Centre Charity for this year is The Isle of Wight Stroke Association. The nominee for this charity was Mike Bonner who very tragically died whilst out on a rally with us in May.

As a tribute to Mike this rally will be a special charity rally.  The main event for that weekend will be an auction to be held on the Saturday afternoon and all the proceeds will go to our charity.

To make it a success we need lots of donated items. They don't need to be just caravanning items, they can be household goods, sports goods or anything that you feel that someone may like to buy.

If you would like to donate an item for auction, please contact the rally marshals, or bring your item along on the Saturday afternoon.

Also there will be Cream Teas available. If you would like to have a cream tea, can you please indicate how many are required on your booking form in the section "Any special requirements or comments”.

Could you be a Rally Marshal?

In order to continue the number of Rallies offered during the year, we need people to volunteer as Rally Marshals.  Ken our Rally Secretary has done a fabulous job in seeking out such a varied programme for our rallies. Being a Marshal is as easy/difficult as you want to make it.

There are some basics, but whatever other activities you would like to add will be down to you to decide, it may be a game of cards, a walk, a wine tasting, the sky is the limit; it really is up to you.
Sometimes less is more, so an easy-going weekend is always just as welcome.

Basic duties are:
  • Liaise with the Rally Secretary (See the Committe page for details) to arrange to be on site before your fellow Rally-goers turn up so you can register them
  • Be prepared to host the welcome tea slot at the start of the Rally
  •  Host the closing (flag) ceremony at the end of the Rally, arranged at a time to suit you (usually between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.)
  • During the weekend you will be expected to collect the rally fees due from each unit and, in liaison with the Rally Secretary and Treasurer, pay the site fees to the site owner
A member of the Committee will always be on hand to advise

Please don’t leave it to the few
