Isle of Wight Centre Rally & Event Information

The new programme for 2020 events and rallies is being prepared and details will appear soon.

In the meantime, please get out your diaries and note the calendar of events for 2020 below.

Why not try a rally ? You don't  know what you are missing !

You will meet like-minded people who have the love of the great outdoors and a social gathering that becomes more like an extended family.  There may be fun social activities arranged, but its your choice to join in or not, you will never be pressurised to do so.

So why not give it a try ? Just click on the 'Here' button, fill in the form and that's it !
Oh and bring the dog too, we are dog friendly and welcome well behaved dogs.

We welcome anyone who would like to act as a rally marshal.

“Photography/videography may be taken at our Centre events and rallies. The Centre and Club may use any photograph(s) and/or video(s) they take that include you, your party and/or outfit in all and any media, including printed and electronic publications, e.g. websites, or promotional materials, in the advertising of its goods or services.

The photograph(s) and/or video(s) may be stored for these purposes as well. If you do not want to appear in any shots, please advise the organiser if it relates to a specific event, or the Centre Secretary if for all events. They will do their best to accommodate this and ensure you are able to avoid the area being photographed/filmed.”

Could you be a Rally Marshal?

Planning and organising a rally is great fun and there is plenty of support and advice from experienced members of the centre should you need it.  Why not volunteer to run one of the 2020 rallies?   Contact our 2020 Rally secretary Andy who will give you lots of information and guidance.

Basic duties are:
  • Liaise with the Rally Secretary (See the Committee page for details) to arrange to be on site before your fellow Rally-goers turn up so you can register them
  • Be prepared to host the welcome tea slot at the start of the Rally
  •  Host the closing (flag) ceremony at the end of the Rally, arranged at a time to suit you (usually between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.)
  • During the weekend you will be expected to collect the rally fees due from each unit and, in liaison with the Rally Secretary and Treasurer, pay the site fees to the site owner
  • Whatever other activities you would like to add (if any) will be entirely down to you to decide
A member of the Committee will always be on hand to advise
