|The National Rally, Ragley Hall, 24th to 28th May 2019
A view of the IoW centre at the National Rally at Ragley Hall. The photo probably shows a tenth of the total number of units at the rally. We are in the group bottom centre of the photo - if you look very closely, you can see us all in the group of people clustered round the SE District's BBQ (the blue and green gazebos)
And here are a few of us heading up to Ragley Hall
The Bluenose Rally April 2019 at Orchards Holiday ParkThere was a great turnout for this, the first rally of the year, 24 units were booked for the weekend.
The weather did not quite conform to the rally's name - apart from a stiff breeze for most of the weekend, we had sunshine and many rally-goers spent Saturday afternoon relaxing next to their vans.
Ron and Ann kept us mentally challenged at the evening session - Friday was a location quiz, trying to identify Island places from old photos dated from the late Victorian era up to the 1960's.
Saturday was a touchy-feeling evening - trying to identify household objects concealed in cloth bags! It was amazing how much discussion this quiz produced, and Ron had to call extra time so that all 22 objects could make their way round all the tables.
There are winners for both quizzes, but I don't think we were too concerned as to who won and who didn't - we had two great evenings.
|Anne looking smug - she knows what's Ron has in store for us!|
|The "locations" quiz generated a lot of discussion

|What on earth is this?
The next event is the Centre's birthday rally at Havenstreet Station. This is a 3 night rally which coincides with the Railway's real ale festival and there is entertainment on each night. Further information on the railway and the entertainment can be found on their web site https://www.iwsteamrailway.co.uk/events/real-ale-festival.aspx

all Centre Members present, Graham explained the reasoning behind having to leave

Graham went on to say how Members had made them so
and how much they had enjoyed their time with the Centre.
Both Angela and Graham could have not have
been under any miss apprehension
as to how much Members valued their time with us, and how much affection and
regard was held for them.
19 vans were at the Thorncross Rally, plus many
other Members came by car not wanting to
miss this important but tinged with sadness occasion
